These terms apply every time you or your child uses the Elevenplus FC app. By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please uninstall the app. These terms are written in plain English and we have tried to keep them short.
Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Elevenplus FC ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the Elevenplus FC mobile application ("the app"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
The app is intended for children aged approximately 9 to 11 who are preparing for the UK 11+ examination. It may be used by anyone, but if the user is under 18, their parent or legal guardian must read and agree to these Terms on their behalf.
If you are installing the app for a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.
Licence to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, strictly for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app or its content.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
- Use the app in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
Purchases
The app offers an optional one-time premium upgrade. Payment for this upgrade is processed by Google Play Billing on Android devices and the Apple App Store on iOS devices. We do not receive, handle, or store any payment information.
The upgrade grants lifetime access to the full vocabulary library and premium features on the account that purchased it. "Lifetime" means the operational lifetime of the app; it does not constitute a perpetual guarantee. If we cease operating the app, existing purchasers will be given reasonable notice.
The upgrade is a one-time payment, not a subscription. You will not be charged again for the same purchase. You may restore a previous purchase on any device that uses the same Google or Apple account via the "Restore purchase" button on the Premium screen.
Refunds
Refunds are handled according to the policies of the platform where the purchase was made:
- Google Play: refund requests within 48 hours of purchase can be made directly through the Google Play Store. Beyond this, contact us.
- Apple App Store: refund requests are handled through Apple's "Report a Problem" service at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If you have a genuine issue that prevents you from using the app as described, please contact us first at support@elevenplusfc.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve it.
Acceptable use
The app has no chat, messaging, or sharing features, so there is little opportunity for misuse. Please use the app as intended — for vocabulary learning. Do not attempt to access the app in ways it was not designed to be accessed.
Content & ownership
All vocabulary content, images, user interface designs, typography, text, and software in the app are either owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Sentences that a child writes in the creative writing mode are stored only on the child's device. They remain the child's (or parent's) property. We never have access to them.
Illustrative images are served from Unsplash under its licence.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that using the app will improve any specific exam outcome. Exam success depends on many factors — the app is a tool, not a guarantee.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the app works reliably, but we do not warrant that it will be free of bugs, interruptions, or errors.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you arising out of or related to these Terms or the app will not exceed the amount you have paid us for the app in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim — typically £9.99 or less.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where the changes are material, notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
